AMRITSAR: After registering various achievements, including an emphatic win in the recently concluded Guru Nanak Dev University(GNDU) Zonal Youth Festival-2018 at Verka, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur (SGTB)College for Women team members were felicitated on Tuesday at the college campus by the management. The achievers received accolades from Khalsa College Governing Council honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and principal Nanak Singh. The team had bagged the champion’s trophy in the festival.
1 held with intoxicant tablets
Tarn Taran: A man was arrested on Monday after intoxicant tablets and capsules were recovered from him. The accused has been identified as Arun Kumar Titoo, a resident of Amritsar district. Inspector Chander Bhushan said 20,000 Subimol tablets, 3,600 Alprazolam tablets and 5,000 Parvon Spas capsules were recovered from the accused when he was stopped at a naka near Khara village. A case under Sections 22, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered. OC

Amritsar: DAV College has won the overall first position in the inter-college best physique competition organised by Guru Nanak Dev University. College students showed the best performance and brought laurels to the college. Principal Rajesh Kumar and Dr BB Yadav, head, department of sports and physical education, congratulated the students.
