Vice Chief of Air Force, SB Deo accidentally shoots self; condition stable

NEW DELHI: The vice chief of Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Marshal Shirish Baban Deo, was reportedly rushed to military hospital in Delhi after he  accidentally shot himself in the thigh. He condition is stable.

He was rushed to a military hospital in Delhi where he underwent a surgery. Sources said his condition is stable. However,the Air Force hasn’t issued any statement in this regards so far.

SB Deo, who was commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Air Force on June 15, 1979, is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. Air Marshal Deo had taken over as the Vice-Chief of the Air Staff in January, 2017.
